The Transition Canoe Trip – July 18th – 20th, Algonquin Park.
This is a brand new addition to the CIM Adventure Series! This is aimed at youth ages 15-19 who are getting ready to transition to independence as an adult with Type 1 diabetes. We are inviting members of the CIM community to come along as mentors, to share their experiences moving from the pediatric clinic to a life without limits. Meeting at the Rain Lake access point, for a two nights of paddle and portage. Perfect for youth looking to grow into adventurers, and mentors with a story to tell.

The Extended Canoe Trip – July 22nd – 30th, Killarney Provincial Park.
Back by popular demand! The extended canoe trip is a chance to spend a little more time in the wilderness. We push a little further, a little harder than the other trips. This year we are travelling through the northern half of Killarney, with a highlight certainly to be the crystal clear waters of elevated Nellie Lake. This will be 7 nights of paddle and portage. Perfect for the canoe trip veteran who wants to see sights of the unbeaten path.

Team CIM 2016 – Newfoundland Hiking Trip – August 5th – August 13th, Gros Morne National Park.
This is a brand new addition to the CIM Adventure Series! Hardy individuals passionate about adventure and diabetes advocacy, submitted an application to be a part of the first ever Team CIM. This year we are hiking the grueling Long Range Traverse in Gros Morne, Newfoundland. Team CIM is designed to showcase life without Type 1 diabetes limits, as each year we take on a different wilderness challenge from across Canada and beyond. Team members have already been selected for 2016, but keep an eye out for the 2017 edition of Team CIM!

The gear is sorted, the tents washed, and hammocks are ready to be hung.
CIM is ready for adventure and we hope you are too!
