Kayla was diagnosed with diabetes on March 13th, 2009 and has been living with diabetes for just over one year. She loves running, hiking and just being outside!
Michelle grew up in Aurora, Ontario and now lives in Waterloo. She enjoys playing golf, riding her road bike and going to the gym.
Sarah Walter grew up in Mississagua, Ontario. She currently lives in St. Catharines, Ontario where she is completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree.
Mike grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and has been on the move ever since! He moved to England, where he completed high school, then back to London, Ontario where he received a Bachelor of Managerial and Organizational Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
Lizzie is from Midland, Ontario, but currently travels the world as a member of AC/DC’s road crew! Lizzie loves exploring, downhill skiing, snowboarding and being outdoors!
Leanne is a competitive outrigger canoeist. She stays active through paddling, climbing, running, weight training, yoga, hiking, camping, swimming, hockey and biking.
Meg is a diabetes advocate who has been involved in all things ‘diabetes’ over the past sixteen years. She enjoys cross fit, hot yoga and general fitness.
Jen is from Sunderland, Ontario but is currently living in St. Catherines completing her Masters of Education at Brock University.
Dessi is from Mississauga, Ontario and a student at Brock University. She competes in Tae Kwon-do and enjoys snowboarding and volleyball.
Andrew is from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario where he is finishing his Masters in Chemical Engineering. He is training to complete both the Ride to Conquer Cancer and the Cyclebetes Cross Canada Relay in 2010.
Kirsten is a graduate student at the University of Guelph and spends most of her free time in the outdoors! Above all else, she enjoys canoeing, but also jogs, swims, skis and curls.
Becky is from Toronto, Ontario and a RN in the NICU at Sick Kids Hospital. She enjoys walking, running, volleyball and swimming.
Steve lives in London, Ontario and has completed a degree in Criminology and a Post Grad in Advanced Police Studies. He enjoys fishing, snowboarding and drag racing.
Chantal is from Barrie, Ontario but is currently living in Bradford, Ontario. She enjoys running with her dog, ball hockey, dodgeball and skiing.
Carlo is an avid cyclist, living in Ingersol, Ontario. He is the father of two, a husband and a teacher.
