Once in a while, the ENTIRE CIM Team is able to swing being together for an event – and that’s when the magic happens. A short time ago, as Ontario was enjoying a Summer-in-the-Fall, the CIM Team was heading west to the beautiful Canmore, Alberta to welcome Western Slipstreamers to…
Leaving everything but a few possessions behind to find yourself paddling downstream, with a wall of rock and forest surrounding you, and the sun on your back is as good a getaway as any in my books. I was glad to see many familiar faces and many new agreeing with…
Words: Virtue Bajurny | Photos: Mike Last YMCA Camp Wanakita is where the first ever CIM Slipstream was held. It is also where the first Slipstream I ever attended was held. After that year the event was moved to the smaller YMCA Camp, Pine Crest. Throughout the drive from Toronto…

This past weekend, Connected in Motion experienced another first – The very first event dedicated to our community of 5.5ers (friends, family members, loved ones of anyone with T1!) The three-day backcountry canoe trip, which took place in Algonquin Park, Ontario, invited 5.5ers out to meet other 5.5ers. We even invite them to bring their Type 1s along!
