We’re Open About Our Finances
As a Registered Canadian Charitable Organization since 2012, Connected in Motion has always been open and transparent about our finances, as required by law. All of our financial statements can be found on the Canada Revenue Agency website. However, we have simplified the information and provided it for curious readers below. We are proud to maintain low operating costs and continue to ensure the majority of funds raised by our generous donors are dedicated to running more programs for people living with type 1 diabetes.
Fundraising Achievements and Goals
Each year, Connected in Motion continues to invest a substantial amount of our operating budget into our programming. As the demand for our programming continues to grow, we continue to invest to bring those programs to as many locations as we can. Over 85% of Connected in Motion’s annual budget goes toward bringing programs to people living with Type 1.

Where We Spent Our Money
(2018)
54
of our income is spent on subsidizing programs to keep registration fees low. To flip that around, registration fees cover, on average, only 46% of the true cost of programs. It is important to us to make Connected in Motion’s programming available to as many people as we can afford to.
Thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors, we were able to subsidize registration fees in 2018 and keep costs low for every participant.
