Connected in Motion is excited to support the active diabetes community in San Diego through monthly Dawn Phenoms. What is a Dawn Phenom event, you ask? A chance to hang out with the Type 1 community, meet some new friends, catch up with old ones, and enjoy the La Jolla beach – Dawn Phenoms are social events for the active diabetes community and anyone interested in learning more about Type 1 happenings in the area and are scheduled for the third Saturday morning of each month.

AND…

AND… November is DIABETES AWARENESS MONTH! In honour, we encourage you to wear some blue out to Dawn Phenom and join us as we participate in the #BigBlueTest! <—What’s that? We’ll ask you to check your BGs, get active with us for 14 minutes (we’ll be creative!) and check again. Each Big Blue Test submitted results in a $3 donation to the Diabetes Hands Foundation which will, in turn, create micro-grants to organizations who make the diabetes community a better place. In fact, we’d love for you to do a #BigBlueTest every day from now until November 30 – Let us know you’re participating by taking a pic or video of your activity, and tagging #TeamCIM! 

We set up just north of lifeguard towers 32 and 33 (near the north bathrooms). Look for the large grey Teepee tent!
